This word "Enraizada" mean a lot to me.
It's a Spanish word, mainly used in Spain and not so much Latin Spanish. I first heard this word on a missions trip in Panama where we partnered with El Refuge. It was my second year going to Panama with a Global Passion missions team. I knew what to expect, I was mentally preparing for a crazy whirlwind ministry week. On our first night we were sitting through a series of meetings and sketch training's from the El Refuge team. Missionary, Gerritt Keyon, gets up to explain the over all theme for the Conference outreach. He shares how God spoke this word "Enraizado" or in English "Deeply Rooted". Gerritt goes on to explain about the Mangrove tree, a common tree to Panama. The Mangrove is a unique tree in that is flourishes in a salt water environment and grows in such a way that the roots are seen above the water as they grow. In that moment, I heard in my spirit God speak "I want to root you in Spain". My eyes began to swell with tears because I knew it would be true. I felt His affirmation, He would indeed plant me and I would flourish even in the midst of unlikely environments. I didn't know how He would, but this was the first moment I knew I would be a missionary to Spain. All The Best, Marissa
